Lowering Stress Through Exercise By Eric Minden Have you ever felt overly stressed about something at work, home, or school? If so, there are many ways to relieve this stress (and I don’t mean pulling your spouses hair). One way to relieve stress is to exercise. While exercising you allow yourself to forget about what happened at work and, in a sense, relax.
By taking a walk through the neighborhood you are able to concentrate on what is going on around you at that moment in time. The same goes for going to the gym, running on the treadmill, or lifting weights. Whatever exercises you do during the day will help eliminate stress or at least keep it to a minimum. If you work all day and can’t find time to go to the gym or go for a walk, you can do your exercising in the office. It sounds simple because it is and it works too.
With technology ever advancing, people are finding ways to exercise and work without getting in trouble by the boss. With just a few simple stretches you have already started to lower your stress level. If you sit at a desk all day with few breaks, you may try to stretch the muscles
in your neck, arms, hands, and back. You can do all of this in just three easy steps.
•Start by rotating your head from side to side. This will help stretch the necessary muscles and help you take in more oxygen while breathing. •Second, move your arms and hands in a clockwise circular motion and then counter clockwise. This allows the blood to flow easier to your hands and arms, keeping you from getting those annoying hand cramps. •Lastly, while sitting, bend over and touch your toes. This will stretch the muscles in the lower back, in turn allowing you to move without the back pain you would normally have to deal with during the day.
After doing these simple exercises you will feel like you can do anything. Your stress has been brought to a minimum because you have been able to take in the extra oxygen your body needs to function. Try these few steps everyday to help keep your stress level down. celluleanworks.com
