Homeschool Preschool By Mary Joyce, Sat Dec 10th
While recently doing some research on the learningand homeschool curriculum, and what type of preschoolactivities would create a positive self motivation preschoollearning environment for the homeschool, I came across someideas that are so simple it was almost embarrassing that I hadto discover this through my ‘research’ time. When one teacher was asked ‘what is the one preschoolteaching tool or tools in your classroom that you could not dowithout? She answered real life stuff. Pots and pans, staplers, hole punchers, anything around the house that will provide reallife experiences for activities. Think about it…. Every thing you need for your homeschoolpreschool is just around the corner at a yard sale! If yourgoing to teach homeschool your classroom should be setup like a real life home. Imagine that. A real life homeenvironment for the child, and you did it. Can youteach that way? Of course, you can. Preschool You probably already have and do allow your
child time to play, read, run outdoors, and discover the world on their travels. Andyou do so in a loving environment. What you provide will farexceed what is provided for in a public learningenvironment. You are the best teacher the child will ever have and your homeis the best leaning environment for the preschooler. Youcertainly don’t need to spend vast amount of money equippingyour home for activities. As mentioned earlier, thriftstores and yard sales can provide more than you could ever use. Also remember, real life experiences. Let the child help youbake, do laundry, and other household experiences. They alloffer visual, hands on, and subtle problem solving. And youthought homeschool would require a classroom setting. Not hardly.
