Can Kids Be Too Plugged In?
Twenty years ago, while IBM was changing the face of our business world, Apple was busy introducing computers to our kids. In the 1990s, the Clinton Administration further accelerated the internet’s involvement in every aspect of our lives. There is no denying that technology has benefited our society in massive ways, but there is one ramification that has not been resolved: the effect of new media on children.
According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, kids between the ages of 8 and 18 spend an average of seven and a half hours a day with electronic media. This new element of childhood has begun to deliver some outcomes that could not have been predicted. Children certainly lose face-to-face interaction with one another. But even more importantly, they spend far less time playing on the playground, in the woods, or even around their neighborhoods.

Do Teens and Cell Phones Mix?
The cell phone manufacturers are in the business of creating demand for their phones and one way they do that is to keep coming out with newer and fancier models. It seems like every time you buy a new phone, you find that a newer model is soon to be released. One thing people might do is to give their used phones to their kids whenever they buy a new one. This way they are able to get more use out of each phone and get more for their money.
Teenagers want to have cell phones so badly that they would most likely be very happy to get any kind of cell phone. Any working phone that will let them text their friend is all they need. As most modern cell phones have many of the same features, if you keep buying the newest model you are not getting much in return. Now that the economy is so poor though, people might be holding off on their habit of always buying the latest and greatest models.

Details You Must Know in Regards to Video Mp3 Devices
Technology is advancing more and more every day. It often feels that as soon as you get acquainted with one piece of technology, it is outdated and replaced. This is especially the case when it comes to MP3 players. It was awesome when MP3 players were first introduced to the market. You had a small electronic device with the ability to play and store lots of music. Of course, you can playback videos as well as listen to music with the new models. If you’re thinking about getting a video MP3 player, then you have a lot of options and you should take a few things into consideration before laying your money down.
The first thing to look at in MP3 hardware is the video features it has to offer. Not every MP3 player out there supports all current video types. Some can only playback flv files, while other can only support those of the wmv format. Additionally, there are some sites where you can download videos that will only allow certain models of video MP3 players. For example, iTunes will only allow its videos to be downloaded to iPods.
